Peachtree City-based Global Aviation Holdings Inc., which operates World Airways and North American Airlines, named John Graber as chief executive officer.

Graber is a former president of CHC Helicopter Services and former president of ABX Air.

His new job at Global Aviation, the largest commercial provider of charter air services to the U.S. military, was effective Monday. The company also provides commercial passenger and cargo air transportation services.

“We are confident that John’s passion for the industry and vision will strengthen Global’s ability to serve its military and commercial customers successfully,” Chairman James Lachance said in a statement.
