Skip Beebe, a former CB Richard Ellis executive, died unexpectedly Monday night.

He also was the Robert H. Ledbetter Sr. Professor of the Practice of Real Estate Development in the College of Management at Georgia Tech.

Beebe retired from CB Richard Ellis in 2007 after 14 years of service, according to a company memo. While at the CBRE, he was president of the Eastern Division and was later promoted to the company’s chief learning officer.

In 2009 Beebe joined the faculty at Georgia Tech and helped elevate the school’s real estate-related course offerings “to the next level of educational excellence,” according to a memo from Steve Salbu, dean of the College of Management at Georgia Tech.

Service details are pending.

Healthcare at College Park, a nursing home in Fulton County, GA, stands shuttered with its door chained on July 26, 2025, having closed in recent months. Researchers at Brown University developed a list of U.S. nursing homes they predicted were at risk of closing based on 2023 data, and would be at elevated risk of closing due to the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act's cuts to Medicaid. Healthcare at College Park was on their list. It survived past its last federal inspection in August of 2024 but has now closed down.
