The chief financial officer of Atlanta-based Genuine Parts Company has announced his retirement.

Jerry Nix, who has held the role for 13 years, will retire March 1. He will be replaced as CFO by Carol Yancey, the company’s senior vice president of finance and corporate secretary. Yancey has been with Genuine Parts Company for 22 years.

Before coming to Genuine Parts, Yancey was a manager at Ernst & Young.

Nix was employed at the replacement parts company for 34 years. In a statement, Genuine Parts chairman and CEO Tom Gallagher said he has been “instrumental” to the company’s growth.
