Genuine Parts Company is raising its quarterly dividend 9 percent to 53 cents, the company says.

The Atlanta-based operator of such chains as NAPA auto parts and Motion Industries, said its annual dividend will rise to $2.15 a share compared with $1.98 a share in 2012.

The quarterly payout will be April 1 to shareholders of record on March 8 of this year.
