The Federal Aviation Administration has proposed to fine a Carrollton firm $63,000 for an air shipment of spray paint.

Playground maker Superior International Industries, doing business as Litchfield, provided an unmarked box to FedEx for shipment by air from Carrollton to Anacoco, La., according to the FAA. Litchfield specializes in shelters, pergolas and gazebos.

The box contained two cans of spray paint, which is considered a flammable aerosol under hazardous materials regulations, the FAA said. During transit, a can leaked yellow paint.

Superior has asked to meet with the FAA to discuss the case, the agency said.
