In the market for a new job? You'll find plenty of openings in metro Atlanta this February. Whether you'd like to work at a charter school, help a new restaurant location get up and running or get a jump start on spring home improvement jobs, available openings fit a variety of skills, education levels and experience.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

Lawrenceville will soon be home to a new Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, and more than 250 employees will be needed. The Cajun restaurant is looking to fill 80 back-of-the-house and 175 front-of-the-house jobs. These positions include line cooks, dishwashers, hosts and servers.

Georgia Highway Contractors Association (GHCA) members

Members of the association are hosting a job fair on Feb. 3 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Latin American Association, 2750 Buford Highway NE, Atlanta. Eleven general contractors who have open positions will be at the job fair, and while experience helps, it isn't required. Open positions include asphalt pavement workers, traffic control workers, truck drivers (CDL) and heavy equipment operators.

You'll need to pass a drug screening, have a valid driver's license and be willing to work hard. Walk-ins are welcome, or you can register here in advance. Bring copies of your resume if you have them.

Georgia charter schools

The Georgia Charter Schools Association is hosting a job fair on Feb. 24 at Fulton Leadership Academy, 2575 Dodson Drive, East Point from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Home Depot

Spring is Home Depot's busiest season, as temperatures warm and homeowners are eager to begin home improvement and landscaping projects.

Hiring has already started for positions including customer services/sales, store support/lot, freight/receiving, merchandising and cashiers. More than 262 jobs are currently listed in the Atlanta area, and you can search and apply for open positions here.
