If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to get a new job, you may be in luck. Metro Atlanta employers are currently hiring for a wide variety of positions including teachers, tax preparers and nurses.

The following companies are making big hires in metro Atlanta this January:

Gwinnett County Public Schools

Gwinnett County is hosting a special education job fair from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Instructional Support Center, Building #100, 437 Old Peachtree Road NW, Suwanee. You’ll need to be certified in any field of special education, complete an online application, register for the job fair in advance and be contacted for a pre-scheduled interview.

Contracts and letters of intent will be offered for the 2020-21 school year at elementary, middle and high schools. Click here to fill out a job application and register for the job fair.

Home Depot

Atlanta-based Home Depot has over 500 job openings listed at its corporate headquarters. You'll find jobs for delivery drivers, social media marketers, supply chain data analysts and software engineer managers as well as many other openings.

Apply online for a job you're interested in, and a recruiter may contact you for more information. You may then be scheduled to interview with one or more members of the company's hiring team.

H&R Block

Since it’s January, you’ll probably be getting a W-2 form in the mail from your employer and starting to gather your income tax information. H&R Block is adding many employees to help filers at its offices throughout the metro Atlanta area.
