Dow Jones Indexes is adding Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines back to the Dow Jones Transportation Average effective this Friday.

Delta will replace YRC Worldwide Inc. in the Dow Jones Transportation Average, which tracks 20 U.S. transportation stocks. Delta was in the Dow Jones Transportation Average from 1980 until 2005, when it filed for bankruptcy protection. Delta emerged from bankruptcy in 2007 and was subsequently re-listed at the New York Stock Exchange.
