Delta Air Lines is continuing its merger partner Northwest Airlines' sponsorship of the Minnesota Twins, announcing Tuesday a "multi-year, multi-million dollar" partnership with the team.

Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest, which Atlanta-based Delta acquired in 2008, had a corporate partnership with the Twins dating back to 1991.

As the official airline of the Twins at the team's new Target Field, Delta will sponsor a club-level space called Delta Sky360 Legends Club, including a concierge desk staffed by Delta customer service agents.

Delta also sponsored the Twins' final season at the Metrodome last year.

Delta is also the official airline of the Atlanta Braves and other teams around the country. However, it dropped its sponsorship of the Atlanta Falcons last year.
