A Dalton employer faces a $73,000 penalty for alleged safety violations at its plant last fall, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration said.
Garland Sales, which manufactures rugs and carpets, was cited for exposing workers to potential chemical and electrical hazards, improperly securing machinery and allowing workers to operate forklifts without certification, among other things.
The company, which employs more than 300, has 15 days to respond to the OSHA complaint.
