Cox pays $32 million for office
An affiliate of Cox Enterprises has bought the Dunwoody office building that houses the information technology department of Cox’s auto auction unit.
According to Databank, the company paid $32 million for 9000 Central Park, which is close to Cox Enterprises headquarters. The seller was an affiliate of Ackerman & Co., the Atlanta commercial real estate company.
Cox had leased part of the building last year to house the IT department of Manheim, its auto auction and online vehicle sales subsidiary. A Cox Enterprises spokesman said Manheim will continue to move IT employees into the location, while Manheim’s corporate offices will remain at Cox Enterprises' headquarters building.
Cox Enterprises' other businesses include cable television and internet services, as well as media holdings including The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
