Sid Nair has been named chief sales officer for Cox Automotive.

Nair comes to Cox Automotive from DXC Technology, an information technology company, where he was responsible for building a $10 billion business across the Americas, according to a release from Cox.

Prior to that, Nair has worked at HPE Enterprise Services, Dell and Wipro.

Nair holds an MBA in marketing and finance from T. A. Pai Management Institute in Manipal, India.

He will report to Sandy Schwartz, president of Cox Automotive.

Nair will have a crucial role in helping to manage the company’s continuing transition to the digital age, Schwartz said, in a statement. “Sid has the mindset to operate with excellence today while helping prepare our teams for the bigger, bolder future we’re pursuing together.”

Cox Automotive is a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises Inc., a privately-owned, Atlanta-based company with revenues exceeding $20 billion. Cox Enterprises also owns the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
