Two Atlanta-based companies are part of a group developing a $25 million, 150,000 square foot shopping center in Tallahassee, Fla.

Cousins Properties and Watkins Retail Group, both of Atlanta, and New Horizon Retail Development of Birmingham, Ala., already have started on Mahan Village, is set to be anchored by a relocated Publix Supermarket and sporting goods store Academy Sports. The center is 79 percent pre-leased.

Earlier this year, Cousins and Watkins Retail Group said they would be partnering to develop Publix-anchored neighborhood shopping centers in Florida and Tennessee. This is the second development they have announced.
