“Knowledge is Power,” Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s fifth annual med-surg conference, will be from 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at Glendalough Manor (200 Glendalough Court) in Tyrone. The cost is $25 (if postmarked before March 1) for Piedmont Healthcare employees and nursing students, and $35 for nonemployees. The fee is due at registration. “Advancing the Possibilities: Nursing in the 21st Century,” the third annual oncology nursing symposium presented by the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, will be at Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort at Stone Mountain Park. The event will focus on current trends in oncology nursing clinical practice and research. The hours for the symposium are 5:30 to 9 p.m. on March 18 and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 19. The course will offer 8.5 contact hours through Emory Healthcare. Registration, which includes dinner on Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday, costs $145 before Feb. 14 ($195 thereafter) and $45 for full-time nursing students.
