A computer glitch sent Delta Air Lines reaching for its back-up plan Thursday night.

The computer system Delta uses to file its flight plans electronically with the Federal Aviation Administration went down, so the airline had to file hard copies, which takes longer, spokeswoman Leslie Parker said.

The system-wide problem started around 7 p.m. and the electronic system was fully operational again by 8:30 p.m., she said.

"The flight delays were very minimal," she said, and no flights were canceled.

Delta is now catching up on the flights that were delayed.
