Coca-Cola has agreed to sell territories of its bottling operations to two companies — Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated and Clark Beverage Group — for an undisclosed sum.

The Atlanta beverage giant said this week that Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated will assume bottling operations in markets in Delaware, Washington, D.C., Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

Clark Beverage Group will assume new markets in Mississippi.

The announced sales are subject to the parties reaching Definitive Agreements.

Coke bought the North American operations of bottler Coca-Cola Enterprises in 2010 for more than $12 billion. The company began refranchising its bottling system last year.
