As part of its salute to veterans, Coca-Cola announced Thursday it will give a free 20-ounce Coke to U.S. troops worldwide on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17. The Atlanta-based company said it anticipates about 2 million cans and bottles will be given away in the promotion. The beverage maker celebrated its 12th annual Coca-Cola’s Veterans Day observance Thursday with music and speeches paying tribute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Services, including more than 900 veterans who are Coke employees. The company also plans to participate in Saturday's 2011 Veterans Day Parade in downtown Atlanta.
