A Massachusetts-based telecommunications company is bringing more jobs to Cobb County.

Granite Telecommunications, which provides communications help to businesses and government, plans to expand its operations in metro Atlanta and create 50 new jobs in sales, engineering, support and leadership roles, the Georgia Department of Economic Development said Thursday.

The company, whose Cobb office is at 900 Circle 75 Parkway, provides services to more than two-thirds of the Fortune 100 companies in the United States and 1.5 million voice and data lines under management, the state agency said.

“Our Atlanta sales region—along with the rest of North America—has seen tremendous growth and record sales since we expanded our offices there just a few short years ago,” Granite CEO Rob Hale said in a release.

With our continued rapid growth we recognized an immediate need to increase our salesforce and other personnel and, as a result, expand our office space to accommodate our growing team,” he said.

Granite, which is headquartered in Quincy, Mass., employs more than 1,600 people across the country, including locations in Miami, New York, Providence and Dallas.
