Chick-fil-A, one of metro Atlanta’s favorite eateries, may be coming to one of the city’s hottest neighborhoods.

Website Loop.net has linked to a real estate page that shows what appears to be an iminent move by Chick-fil-A to take over popular wings joint Dugan’s on Ponce de Leon Avenue in Midtown. The location at 777 Ponce is just a couple of stones throw away from Ponce City Market and the very busy Beltline.

The listing calls the spot a “trophy location” and boasts: “This Chick-fil-A is immediately adjacent to the most dynamic new and upcoming projects in Atlanta including: Ponce City Market (2.1 million SF mixed-use development), The BeltLine ($2.8 Bill urban redevelopment), 725 Ponce (Beltline Kroger), Krog Street Market ($70 Million mixed-use development), Clermont Hotel (98 Room Boutique Hotel), Midtown Place (Whole Foods/Home Depot), and more.

Dugans has been operating since 1982 and has four locations, including Memorial Drive, Flat Shoals Parkway and Old National Highway. The Ponce de Leon location is the original store.

Story is developing.
