The Atlanta children’s clothing company Carter’s added an executive vice president in charge of its international business and promoted another executive to president of the company.

Kevin Corning, the general manager of market expansion company DKSH’s luxury and lifestyle division, will join Carter’s as an executive vice president in charge of international, a newly created position. Carter’s has focused on making international expansion a major part of its growth plan. Corning will be responsible for the company’s international operations.

Brian Lynch, the executive vice president and leader of the Carter’s brand, has been promoted to president of the company. He has led the Carter’s brand for three years, and will now be responsible for leading merchandising, design and marketing teams, as well as the wholesale, retail and eCommerce businesses for the company.

Carter’s also announced the retirement of James Petty, who led the retail business, which is moving from Connecticut to Georgia. Jeffrey Williams, who had been a senior executive on the retail team, will become senior vice president of retail.
