Southern Airways announced it is adding service from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport to Oxford, Miss. starting Friday.

The Memphis-based public charter operator plans to operate the PDK-Oxford flights on weekends, targeting Ole Miss fans and others who visit the Oxford area. The flights are on Cessna Caravan turboprops with nine seats. Fares start at $198 per person each way.

Southern Airways also said it will operate out of the Signature Flight Support terminal at PDK starting Thursday, instead of the Atlantic Aviation terminal there. Both are private aviation terminals.

In addition to the new Oxford flights, Southern Airways is also resuming service from PDK to Panama City and making its PDK-Destin flights year-round instead of seasonal.

Southern Airways chairman and CEO Stan Little said the flights do not operate if no passengers are booked, adding that more than 80 percent of the flights are operating.
