CNBC host Erin Burnett has jumped to CNN to be a general news anchor and chief business and economics correspondent. She'll start in June out of New York. She has been a well-respected anchor for three hours daily on CNBC programs "Squawk on the Street" and "Street Signs." "The experience I gained at CNBC and NBC News will be invaluable as I expand my focus," Burnett said in a statement.
