NCR is expanding its Blockbuster Express kiosk service, adding more locations and turning a pilot program into a policy.

The Duluth self-service technology company is adding the movie rental kiosks at 309 RaceTrac locations in Georgia and four other states. The installations are expected to be complete by June.

The movies rent for $1 a night and can be returned at any Blockbuster Express location. NCR licenses the name from Blockbuster.

In addition to the new locations, NCR also said a new-release pilot program in some cities would be expanded nationwide. All kiosks will have the so-called hot titles from Fox -- including movies like "Black Swan" -- during a 28-day period when the movies are not available to be rented at other kiosks, or through Netflix.

Universal Studios' new releases will continue to be available only in the test markets, which include Atlanta.

NCR spokesman Jeff Dudash said for both studios, new releases during that 28-day period are $2.99 the first night and $1 each subsequent night. After the movies are widely available, they will rent for $1 a night.

Blu-ray new releases will rent for $3.99 for the first night.
