Big 10 Tires sold

The 22 Big 10 Tires locations in metro Atlanta have been purchased by Pep Boys.

Big 10 Tires, a Florida-based company, has 85 locations in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Pep Boys bought the company to improve its market density in Atlanta and other cities.

In addition to the Big 10 stores, Pep Boys bought seven stores in the Seattle area. Together, the 92 stores cost $41 million and have $93 million in annual sales.

Pep Boys now has 147 service and tire centers.
