Prudential Georgia Realty announced Tuesday that it will be acquired by HomeServices of America Inc., a real estate brokerage affiliate of billionaire Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway investment company.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Prudential Georgia has nearly 1,000 sales associates and 20 offices. The company will be renamed Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices later this year after HomeServices, which also owns the Prudential Real Estate franchise network, launches the new brand. HomeServices also owns Harry Norman Realtors.

Dan Forsman will continue as CEO at Prudential Georgia.

HomeServices has 28 real estate brands and more than 17,000 professionals in 21 states.
