A new survey from Bank of America shows Atlanta small business owners are optimistic about revenue and growth expectations.

According to the Small Business Owner Report, 76 percent of those who participated in the survey said they are confident they will hit their year-end revenue goals for 2014.

Small business owners here also are feeling pretty confident about what’s ahead for 2015.

The survey found that 50 percent are confident the local economy will improve next year.

Two out of three _ 67 percent _ expect their revenue to increase.

And nearly half _ 46 percent _ said they plan to hire more employees in the new year.

The survey was conducted by phone in October by Braun Research and used a nationally representative sample of 1,000 U.S. small business owners whose companies had annual revenue from $100,000 to $5 million and employed 2 to 99 people.

In addition, 300 small business owners were surveyed in nine specific markets including Atlanta.
