Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport said those who use its park-ride reserve lot and international terminal hourly parking can now reserve a space — for a fee.

In the park-ride reserve lot, reserving a spot now costs $5 for each reservation plus $12 per day. The park-ride reserve lot has for years operated as a members-only lot with shuttle service to the terminal and guaranteed parking spaces.

In the international terminal’s hourly parking deck, it will cost $5 per reservation plus $16 to $24 per day, “based upon overall customer demand.” The airport said the online rate is lower than the international hourly parking rate of $32 per day.

“We actually want to encourage travelers to use this new online reservation system for daily parking,” according to airport spokesman Reese McCranie.

The international terminal hourly parking deck is often far less crowded than the domestic terminal hourly parking decks. Unlike the domestic terminal, the international terminal does not have lower-priced daily parking lots within walking distance. Instead, it has the hourly parking deck and a park-ride deck with shuttle service.
