Children’s apparel maker Carter’s Inc. is moving 200 employees to its Atlanta headquarters.
The company said Thursday it was consolidating retail and financial operations now managed at its Connecticut hub to the metro Atlanta area.
The move, which will cost between $35 million and $40 million, is expected to be complete by the end of 2013.
“We believe that bringing our employees together in one location will improve the interaction and collaboration of our talented workforce and strengthen our ability to provide consumers with the best value and experience in young children’s apparel,” said chief executive Michael Casey.
The company now employs about 1,200 people throughout the metro area.
