A health care company announced Tuesday the shuttering of an Alpharetta call center and the loss of 90 jobs.

Conifer Health Solutions, a Texas company that handles billing and collections work for 500 hospitals nationwide, said call centers in Alpharetta, Nashville, Tenn. and Bowling Green, Ky. will close within 90 days. The 200 employees will be offered jobs at another call center in Boca Raton, Fla., according to Conifer spokesman John Hoffmann.

The hourly employees will receive severance pay based on length of service.

Hoffmann said the job cuts come as Conifer consolidates call center operations in four locations.
