Concessionaires have submitted a second round of proposals to compete for spots at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, as the Atlanta airport embarks on a major overhaul of its concessions.

The city of Atlanta last month said it would toss out all of the proposals it collected for new concessions and would start the process over, because 41 of 95 proposals submitted were missing required documents or information. Many of the same concessionaires submitted proposals again.

The concessionaires that submitted proposals by the deadline Tuesday afternoon for one or more of five large packages of airport restaurants are: SSP America, Concessions International/H&H Hospitality, HMSHost, Areas, Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services Atlanta Partners, OTG Management, Hojeij Branded Foods and Georgia Airport Concessions.

The concessionaires that submitted proposals for packages of airport retail shops are: Marshall Retail Group, Hudson Group, Pacific Gateway Concessions, Paradies Atlanta and a joint venture including HMSHost.

More proposals are due Wednesday for small packages of food and beverage outlets at the airport.
