Columbus-based insurer Aflac said Friday it will sponsor the Heisman Trophy, college football’s highest honor, starting this upcoming season.

Aflac, which also sponsors in-game trivia during college football broadcasts, said it inked a multi-year sponsorship. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Heisman Trophy is presented annually to the game’s most outstanding player by the Heisman Trophy Trust of New York City.
