Need something in minutes? Try Amazon Instant Pickup. The latest service from Amazon is now available in Atlanta.

Free to Prime and Prime Student members, Amazon Instant Pickup allows members to order and receive items in two minutes or less.

Amazon has launched five fully staffed pickup locations in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Berkeley, Calif., Columbus, Ohio, and College Park, Md. Items available for Instant Pickup include snacks, drinks and electronics, as well as some of Amazon’s devices including Echo, Alexa and Kindle.

“Instant Pickup is another way Amazon is making life more convenient for Prime members,” said Ripley MacDonald, Director, Student Programs,Amazon. “As shopping behaviors continue to evolve, customers consistently tell us that they want items even faster."

Prime members just need to browse the selection online, place an order and in two minutes or less, they are able to pick up the items from a self-service locker. Amazon employees fill the orders and put them in the lockers within two minutes. The staffed pickup locations are located on or near college campuses across the country and will expand to other areas in the coming months.

In Atlanta, the first Instant Pickup location is at Georgia Tech.
