The Atlanta "So You Think You Can Dance" audition episode airs tonight out of the Fox Theatre.

Atlanta has been a fruitful home lately for the show, now in its 11th season. Since season 8, the show has generated several finalists and a winner three years ago in Melanie Moore of Marietta.

It's a good sign for Atlanta that Fox is reserving an entire two hours to the city. Atlanta's Dragon House dance crew also inspired show creator and judge Nigel Lythgoe to hold a mini-competition among dance crews hosted, in part, by part-time Atlantan Justin Bieber.

Lythgoe, before the season began, was worried about the show's survival given how the ratings have drooped in recent years. This year, overall ratings are not far off the mark from a year ago but 18-49 numbers are down.

Through the first three episodes, the show is averaging 5 million overnight viewers (before DVR usage).
