President Donald Trump on Thanksgiving Day weekend took a break from golf to go after Atlanta-based CNN International instead of his usual target CNN.

Trump said Fox News is "MUCH more important" domestically than CNN but overseas CNNI is still a "major source of (Fake) news and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly."

CNN's PR department bit back soon after, saying that CNN International's job is to report the news, not "represent the U.S. to the world."

CNN colleagues defended their CNNI brothers and sisters:

Jake Tapper

posted this: "Thinking about

and my brave and hard-working colleagues there who cover famines and wars and politics and terrorism and everything else. Amazing men and women, thank you for your continued excellence."
