TMZ reports that morning host and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast mate Claudia Jordan today got caught up in a six-car pile up on I-20.

She has yet to say anything on her social media accounts, but she responded to my text inquiry saying she was a passenger, not the driver, as TMZ reported. "I was hurt and very shook up and injured my neck," she said. "Severe whiplash."

It's been a strange week for her. TMZ also reported that she is off "Real Housewives," but the producers have not actually made a final decision. It's too early. Production of season eight hasn't even started. The show has often changed its mind about who stays and who goes partway through production and doesn't announce the official cast until six weeks before the show's debut. "Real Housewives" typically debuts in October so we won't know until September what the cast will be for sure.

Jordan joined the show last year after moving to Atlanta to be part of the Rickey Smiley syndicated morning show, heard locally on Hot 107.9. Originally, Jordan was going to just be a recurring guest on the show as Kenya Moore's friend but the producers liked her enough to give her a peach. We'll have to see when production starts whether she can retain that status.
