Last week, I caught up with Rashan Ali, who left V-103 earlier this year after just a year on air.

Going back to work with Ryan Cameron, who helped give her a place on radio at Hot 107.9 many years ago, didn't quite pan out.

But she has work doing social media with NBA.com (depending on how the lockout plays out) and is pursuing other opportunities, including acting. She had a juicy role as a sports agent in the play "Stripped," which just finished its run at the Ferst Center at Georgia Tech yesterday. She also fills in on WXIA's "Atlanta & Company."

Is she seeking a full-time job? "I've been busier with my new life than my radio life because it's so much," she said. She finished her SportyGirls camp for girls and her children's book. She was on Ryan's show to promote the play last month. "It was a paradigm shift to be a guest," she said. "I spent some time with him when he lost his father. We see each other. Nothing changes there."

Ali said she hasn't ruled out coming back to radio full time. She has been a panelist on a couple of Q100 Bert Show bits. "I kind of miss it," she said. "If I go back, it has to be on my own terms."
