MTV’s young audience bestowed its biggest MTV Movie & TV honors Monday night to “Stranger Things” and “Black Panther,” both Atlanta-based productions.

"Stranger Things," which is currently in its third season of production, took home best show over competitors such as "Game of Thrones" and "13 Reasons Why." Millie Bobby Brown won best performance in a show while Noah Schnapp took home "most frightened performance." The best musical moment was Mike and Eleven dancing to "Every Breath You Take."

"Black Panther" took home a prize for best film over "Wonder Woman," "IT," "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Girls Trip." Chadwick Boseman won for best performance in a film and best hero while Michael B. Jordan won best villain.

Boseman, during his best hero acceptance speech, gave his award to James Shaw Jr. as the real hero for taking down a gunman at a Waffle House in Tennessee and raised $227,000 for the victims.
