So if Republicans aren't lockstep behind Donald Trump, there is the matter of where all of that excess energy – and cash – is going.

Below is an invitation that originated from the desk of Eric Tanenblatt, a senior honcho with Dentons in Atlanta, and one of the South’s largest GOP bundlers.

The topic is a Sept. 16 fundraiser in Atlanta, headlining South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, to benefit the “Winning Women Victory Committee,” which is dedicated to backing female GOP candidates. The accompanying note from Tanenblatt:

Also in attendance will be the beneficiaries of this committee, U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte (NH), Liz Cheney (WY), Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (VA), Congresswoman Martha McSally (AZ) and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (NY).    A similar event was held in the 2014 cycle in Atlanta with now U.S. Senators Joni Ernst (IA) and Shelley Moore Capito (WV).   It was a very successful event which we hope to replicate this year.

Needless to say, Ayotte is in dire shape in New Hampshire, in part because of a Trump backlash. Here’s the invite:
