Since around 4 p.m. Monday, the Forsyth Sheriff's Office and Forysth Fire Department have responded to the following calls:

  • 345 road obstructions (trees in the roadway)
  • 90 wire down calls (in addition to the tree only calls)
  • 14 motor vehicle crashes (8 injuries,  including 1 entrapped)
  • 6 tree fires
  • 3 residences with storm damage

Communications officers also received around 600 duplicate calls, according to Public Information Officer Robin B. Regan. This does not include all other calls, including alarms and non-storm related calls.   Altogether, Forysth communications officers received 1206 calls, Regan said.
