Snow in metro Atlanta: Georgia Power reports about 1,000 outages

The winter weather sweeping through north Georgia and the metro Atlanta area has not created widespread power outages so far.
As of 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Georgia Power was reporting about 1,000 customers without service statewide. About 200 of those were in the Doraville area.
