Girls Rock Camp ATL will get a boost from a benefit show this week featuring Michelle Malone (who, with Linda Bolley is performing as Chevy Galore) and the Starbenders.

The show, which takes place at The Earl on Thursday (doors at 7:30 p.m.), will partially benefit the non-profit six-day summer camp for girls aged 10-16 who want to engage in musical expression and performance (and the best part – musical experience isn’t even necessary – that’s where the learning comes in).

Tickets for the show are on sale now for $10 (they'll be $12 at the door).

Oh, and if you’re wondering about the Chevy Galore moniker, the duo of Malone and Bolley, who play guitar and drums, respectively, chose the name in homage to their 7-cylinder van that is now R.I.P.
