The "Formation Tour" kicked off April 27 in Miami and has an initial round of dates scheduled through August.

Two months before the tour commenced, Beyonce had already sold out multiple shows at stadiums in New York, London and Chicago with single-night sell-outs in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Houston and the Atlanta date.

According to Arthur Fogel, chairman of Live Nation Global Touring, the promoters of the tour, the first 39 scheduled earned more than $100 million in ticket sales shortly after they went on sale in February.

On April 23, Beyonce released her sixth studio album, the provocative “Lemonade.” Her set list from the tour includes several tracks from the new release, as well as career hits “Ring the Alarm,” “Drunk in Love” and “Halo.”
