Former Attorney General Bowers withdraws support for Nahmias' re-election campaign

Justice David Nahmias has lost the support of a prominent lawyer who once co-chaired his election campaign.

That lawyer, former state Attorney General Mike Bowers, withdrew his backing because he didn’t like

the way Nahmias questioned a former chief justice during recent oral arguments before the Georgia Supreme Court.

Four days after the arguments, Bowers informed Nahmias of his decision in a letter, in which he signed off by saying, "Regretfully, Michael J. Bowers."
