Heath Webb was approved Tuesday night as the new head football coach at Winder-Barrow, the Barrow County News reported.

Webb had been quarterbacks coach in 2013 at Peachtree Ridge and receivers coach in 2012 at Flowery Branch. Both made the playoffs. Webb helped develop Peachtree Ridge quarterback Chance Thrasher, who passed for 2,364 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior.

Webb started North Paulding’s program and had a record of 17-23 in four seasons.

Webb will replace David Wagner, who resigned. Winder-Barrow was 2-8 in 2013 and hasn’t won more than two games a season since 2007 (5-5) in Brian Allison’s last season as head coach.

Webb was approved by the Barrow County school board.
