Class AAA

Westminster 38, Douglass 3

How the game was won: Zay Malcolme jump-started Westminster with a punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter as his team lead from start to finish in a big win over region rival Douglass. The Wildcats led 21-3 at halftime and wrapped up the contest scoring 31 unanswered points. This was Westminster's second consecutive win in which its defensive did not allow a touchdown, having previously dominated Decatur two weeks ago.

Top performers: Malcolme can enjoy the rare distinction of returning a punt for a touchdown and actually having it decrease his season average. That was the case when he took a punt 27 yards to the endzone against the Astros. Malcolme added a two-yard scoring run in the third quarter. ... Quarterback Rankin Woley had a 10-yard touchdown run and tossed a six-yard scoring strikes to Truman Jones. Keller Harper replaced Woley in the fourth quarter and threw a screen pass for a touchdown to Chase Williams. ... Alex Gracey added a 33-yard field goal for the Wildcats.
