Week 1 Lacrosse Rankings

The undefeated Lambert (7-0) and Lassiter (5-0) boys sit at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively in the Class 6A-7A poll. Walton scored a 12-7 win over North Gwinnett on March 9 that improved the Raiders to 8-0 and they come in at No. 3. Fourth-ranked Centennial, which defeated No. 6 Roswell 10-9 on Feb. 28, is 4-1 with its only loss coming to an out-of-state opponent. Johns Creek slides in at No. 5.

In Class A-5A, undefeated Lovett (6-0) opens up at No. 1 as Westminster, Pace Academy, Blessed Trinity and Woodward Academy round out the top 5. Greater Atlanta Christian is No. 6 at 3-4, and its losses came to Westminster, Roswell, North Gwinnett and Lassiter. No. 7 Marist defeated No. 8 Buford 7-4 to earn its spot and Starr’s Mill’s loss to Buford sends the Panthers to No. 9. Fellowship Christian’s 7-1 start gives the Paladins ranked-status at No. 10.

The Milton girls have opened up the year 5-0 and are No. 1 in Class 6A-7A. No. 2 Lassiter is 5-3, with all three losses coming to out-of-state challengers. Mill Creek’s loss to Lassiter validates their placement at No. 3 and West Forsyth’s 5-0-2 start has the Wolverines at No. 4. Walton, which gave the Wolverines one of their two ties, sits at No. 5.

Blessed Trinity gave West Forsyth its other tie, and the Titans are No. 1 in Class A-5A with a 5-0-1 start. Starr’s Mill is No. 2 and has opened up the year 4-0. Westminster, Lovett and Kell round out the top 5. St. Pius earned a spot in the poll at No. 10, due to the program’s win over McIntosh.
