Blessed Trinity defeated Flowery Branch 21-20 in overtime on Friday in a Region 7-AAAA game. Blessed Trinity hasn't lost a region game to a public school since 2013, also an overtime game. What was the last public school to beat Blessed Trinity in a region game: Buford, Decatur, Dunwoody, Chamblee or Avondale? (Answer Wednesday)
Answer to Monday's question: The only county with six different schools that have achieved winning streaks of 20 games or longer is Floyd County. The six are Rome (35-game streak, active), West Rome (37 ended in 1984 and 27 ended in 1986), East Rome (32 ended in 1979), Model (24 ended in 1954), Pepperell (22 ended in 1991) and Darlington (21 ended in 1999). Gwinnett County has five: Buford, Parkview, Brookwood, Wesleyan and Grayson. North Gwinnett, with a current 15-game winning streak, could become the sixth.
