Records are meant to be broken, but usually not so quickly.

From Hutson Mason to Deshaun Watson to Jake Fromm to Trevor Lawrence, Georgia's passing records are being chased at a rapid pace.

Add the name of Harrison Bailey to the line of successors. Bailey set what is believed to be a Georgia freshman record last week with 457 yards passing in a victory over Kennesaw Mountain.

Lawrence, now a junior at Cartersville and the nation's No. 1 recruit in his class, threw for 400 as a freshman against Northwest Whitfield in 2014, and Lawrence holds the freshman season record of 3,042 yards.

Bailey has thrown for 1,785 yards in Marietta's six games. Keep an eye on him in a season in which Fromm is chasing Mason's single-season and Watson's career passing records.

Bailey's performance is among GHSF Daily's Top Performances of Week 8.
