In a season to forget, King's Ridge Christian had a game to remember Friday. The winless Tigers defeated Strong Rock Christian 56-40, and senior quarterback Penny Hart rushed for 390 yards and scored seven touchdowns. He also passed for 162 yards.
"This has been a tough season for us as this was our only win," King's Ridge coach Jeff Pickren said. "Penny is a great player and a great kid. He has been a four-year starter, and unfortunately for us this is his senior year. He is hands down our best player."
Pickren moved Hart to quarterback in the eighth game when starter Henry Jones was lost for the season to injury. Hart had been playing slot receiver and running back. Hart (5 feet, 10 inches and 170 pounds) also runs track for King's Ridge. He's been clocked at less than 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He has committed to Georgia State.
