Top performances from Week 10: Ajiero’s speed pays off for Tift County

Tyler Ajiero has been clocked at 10.8 seconds in the 100 meters. Tift County coach Ashley Anders thought that talent might be a weapon in his team's Region 1-AAAAAAA game against Lowndes last week. He was right.

"Our game plan was to run the football, but Lowndes has a tremendous football team, and their front seven did a good job," Anders said. "Watching them on film, our offensive coaches knew we would get some one-on-one matchups. When we saw them, we called Tyler's number, and he delivered."

Ajiero scored on three long passes, accounting for all of Tift's touchdowns in the 21-17 victory. "Two of the three were on double moves that he ran great routes on, and our quarterback, Neno Felton, did a great job of delivering," Anders said.

Ajiero's efforts are among the Top Performances from last week.
